The project idea is to empower youngsters from India, Indonesia, The Philippines, Cambodia, Nepal and Vietnam from Asia and Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Italy and North Macedonia to become active actors in their local communities and to enrich their skills and abilities in policy making, decision taking, lobbing and advocacy, conflict resolution, active civic participation, strategic planning and management. The project will be implemented in 5 phases:
I Phase: International trainings. A series of 3 international trainings will be held in Vietnam, Nepal and Greece covering the above-mentioned topics of the project and each one followed by an online consultation meeting with the participants. Each training could be attended by 3 representatives per Partner country.
II Phase: Job shadowing. 1 job shadower per Partner country will be sent for 3 weeks between all partner countries where they will exchange knowledge and will experience the process of civic engagement in all level of social life.
The project will offer at least 10 meetings with diverse governmental, social and civil structures that impact the political, socio cultural and democratic engagement in the three European countries.
III Phase: Consultation meetings. The consultation process with the participants in the trainings and the job shadowing will be continued as at least 3 consultation online meetings will be held with each country team allowing the update and revision of their action plans, helping them plan and organise the local trainings and the implementation of at least one local community project. A Council of Young Community Leaders will establish in each Partner country.
IV Phase: National trainings and community actions. After taking part in the first 3 phases each country CYCL will organise a national training for its members to build their capacity on topics of importance for the community development subject to the current project.
Each national training will gather 30 local participants and the community action will have an impact over more than 250 representatives of the local community.
V Phase: International CYCL Platform. The event will be held in Bulgaria, Greece and Croatia for 10 days as 2 representatives per partner and 4 representatives from the applicant will participate. The first 5 days the participants will meet in Bulgaria and share experience with youngsters from 2 Bulgarian universities (Blagoevgrad and Plovdiv Universities), 2 days will be devoted to meet youngsters in the University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and 2 more days will allocated to meet youngsters from the University of Slavonski Brod (Croatia). Meetings with representatives from local and regional governments as well as with leading NGOs will be organized.
One/ day evaluation meeting will be held in Bulgaria at the end of the event.
